We’ve built a new foot scanning process to make it easier than ever. 

• Clear guidance and engaging animations show members exactly how to position their feet to complete their foot scans. 
• Reduced time to order: Members can now order their custom insoles, which would otherwise take weeks and several doctor’s appointments to receive from a medical provider, within five minutes.

Hike continues to deliver this scanning experience directly on the web as a reflection of our commitment to accessibility. That means that members don’t have to download yet another app that they don’t want cluttering their phones.‍

Advanced AI-powered technology

Our AI technology brings unprecedented convenience, precision, and detection to the orthotics experience. Hike recently introduced three AI models that elevate our solution:

FootprintAI‍

Our FootprintAI technology analyzes over 30,000 foot measurements in real-time, providing instant visual feedback to ensure a smooth and accurate scanning process that doesn’t require additional hardware or app downloads.

Like Apple’s FaceID or fingerprint technology, FootprintAI intelligently detects which parts of the foot have been scanned and guides users to capture any missing areas for a complete scan.

Image Completion

Image Completion introduces groundbreaking technology that replicates the 3D modeling capabilities of high-end sensors like IR or LiDAR — traditionally available only on premium devices — using just the standard RGB camera of a smartphone.

If users don’t capture their entire foot during a scan, Image Completion uses advanced AI to reconstruct the missing parts of the foot. This ensures a successful scan and seamless custom-fit insole process from any smartphone, regardless of make or model.

Condition Detection

‍Hike doesn’t just create insoles; we look out for foot health. Hike will alert members of any detected ulcers, calluses, or abnormalities on their feet and provide additional resources on their significance.

Left untreated, these conditions can lead to serious and costly complications, including infections, tissue damage, or even amputation in extreme cases, resulting in significant health and financial impacts.‍

We’ve also introduced new materials that enhance both comfort and durability of the insoles themselves. 

Variable density technology

‍Hike now customizes insole material density based on weight range, providing personalized support for optimal comfort and alignment. This technology also enables targeted offloading in areas with excessive pressure, such as calluses or ulcers.
